  A Trip to Argentina’s Lake District

On this fifth trip with Borispatagonia, we explored the region around Bariloche, San Martín de los Andes, and the Seven Lakes, and then, further south, the wilder, more desert-like region of Gualjaina in the province of Chubut.

We were able to count on Mariana’s attentive and warm support – she was always quick to respond to our questions – and on Boris’s kind attention, as he spent two days with us in Bariloche.

Beyond the landscapes – which were perhaps less impressive than in other places (with the exception of Gualjaina) – the highlights of this trip were the encounters with people who are passionate about their surroundings and their work, and who were delighted to share them with us: Máximo in Bariloche, Nicolás and Federico at their estancia, and Laura and Daniel in Gualjaina.

We owe this to Boris and his commitment to authenticity in the services he offers. You can trust him with your travel plans!

  Hiking Trip in Argentine and Chilean Patagonia

Following this wonderful trip to Patagonia, our entire group would like to express our gratitude to:

Three friends… Boris for organizing everything… Mariana for coordinating everything… not to mention the guides and drivers, who were always friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. All these people made for a successful trip!!!

We traveled through Patagonia on foot, horseback, by car, boat, train, and plane, from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia via Bariloche (where we met Marisa and Mario), El Calafate, El Chalten…

  Trip to Patagonia

We loved everything about this trip: first and foremost, the Argentinians, and the fantastic landscapes of Patagonia, so varied and spectacular, just going with the flow, no stress, just enjoying ourselves.

We also met some really nice people and learned a lot during our travels. The activities were very varied and the pace was just right: we had time to ourselves but also made lots of discoveries.

We really enjoyed the variety and diversity of everything we did and experienced, from snorkeling with sea lions, horseback riding in the middle of nowhere, fishing with an unforgettable picnic, to hiking in El Chalten.

Boris planned exactly the trip we wanted, and Mariana accompanied us masterfully throughout our journey.

The accommodations were very comfortable.

The day with Boris was really nice and it made us want to go on another trip. There is still so much to discover!

There’s no way we’ll forget this trip!

  Honeymoon trip in Patagonia, Argentina, and Chile

We planned our honeymoon trip with Boris in December 2025.

We spent three wonderful weeks in Argentina and Chile, enjoying the trip without any organizational worries.

Boris adapted well to us by giving us free days, during which we were able to hike on our own in magical places (El Chalten, Torres del Paine).

Thanks also to Mariana for her on-site follow-up, it’s a real bonus!

We will set off again with Boris to explore South America with complete confidence!

  Discovering Patagonia

A wonderful discovery of Patagonia thanks to Boris’s perfect, tailor-made organization (Bariloche, El Calafate, El Chalten, and Ushuaia).

Thanks to Mariana, who accompanied us with her kind and thoughtful messages throughout our stay. We discovered some splendid and magnificent landscapes.

– In terms of transportation – transfers and excursions:
The airport-hotel-airport transfers were always on time, with very friendly drivers who did their best to communicate in French. The vehicles were very clean.

We were lucky because we were practically alone most of the time during the excursions 😊 (except for boat tours of the Todo Glaciares and the Beagle Channel, but there is no other way to do it). With interesting guides who are very helpful and speak French, English, and of course Spanish. A big thank you to Massimo, Walter, and the others.

We really enjoyed the day we spent with Marissa at her family’s ranch, riding horses, swimming in the river (we were alone) and, of course, the barbecue with Mario, the energetic 70-year-old gaucho!

The hike in the Los Huemules private reserve was very pleasant, with a majestic arrival at the Gagliero refuge on the shores of the Devil’s Lagoon. And of course there are other excursions that we will leave you to discover for yourselves 😊.

– In terms of accommodation:
The accommodations were comfortable with welcoming staff (special mention for the welcome in Ushuaia). And of course, another special mention for the choice of apartment in Bariloche, with a superb view of NAHUEL HUAPI!

We came back with lots of beautiful images in our minds and lots of good memories.

  Stay in Chile: Atacama, Torres del Paine, Easter Island

We still have lots of beautiful images from our trip to Chile in our minds. This country offers a wide variety of landscapes from north to south.

Easter Island was the icing on the cake. A small piece of land far from everything, with a history and atmosphere that make it worth staying for several days.

This trip perfectly met our expectations in terms of its balanced pace between sightseeing and hiking. Furthermore, the organization with your partners went smoothly. Finally, meeting the guides was an enriching experience.

The accommodation on Easter Island was a little far from the evening activities and restaurants, but I have no complaints about the establishment itself, which was perfect.

  Trip from north to south Argentina

An absolutely unforgettable month-long trip for couples, from north to south Argentina: Buenos Aires, Iguazú, Salta, Purmamarca, Cachi, Cafayate, Bariloche, El Calafate, and finally Ushuaia.

An exceptionally rich itinerary, alternating between domestic flights and car rentals, visits in complete autonomy, and perfectly chosen guided moments.

Boris, who is deeply in love with his adopted country, took great care in helping us plan this trip. Always attentive, he respected our need for independence – car rentals, free time to explore, a week in an apartment in Bariloche – while incorporating time spent with guides or in small groups, which was essential to giving the itinerary even more meaning and depth.

Everything Boris suggested was worth experiencing. We have particularly magical and timeless memories of our night at Salar Grande.

Well done and thank you to Boris’s team: first and foremost his assistant Mariana, who was always available and whose smile could be seen in every WhatsApp message, as well as the guides who accompanied us and the hosts who welcomed us so generously.

We returned home with stars in our eyes and still on cloud nine… A perfectly balanced, intense, and deeply memorable trip that we will never forget. ✨✨🇦🇷

  4 weeks in Argentina and Chile

Boris organized a tailor-made trip, adapted to our wishes. We start with an enriching discovery of Buenos Aires, before flying to Iguazú and its majestic and spectacular waterfalls.

The adventure continues in the Andean West, with a road trip through the province of Salta: impressive roads and mountain passes, guanacos and vicuñas at every turn, traditional villages, from the Salinas salt desert to the 14 colors of Quebrada de Humahuaca, not to mention the indescribable colors of Quebrada de Las Conchas, Los Cardones National Park, and simply breathtaking landscapes.

Next, we head to northern Patagonia to explore Bariloche and the magnificent lake district, with Nahuel Huapi and Lanin National Parks. Not to mention an unforgettable day at the estancia, horseback riding through a landscape straight out of a Western movie, accompanied by condors. A short trip to Chile to discover its unique landscapes, the Termas Geométricas, hiking at the foot of the Osorno volcano, discovering the Pacific Ocean and the Chiloé Island…

We continue on to Southern Patagonia – El Calafate: wonderment guaranteed among turquoise lakes, endless steppes, and majestic glaciers. Hikes in the heart of Los Glaciares National Park.

The last leg of our journey takes us to El Chaltén, where nature in its purest form awaits us: breathtaking glaciers and wild panoramas, treks between imposing mountains… Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, and the Los Huemules Reserve.

Throughout our journey, Boris, Mariana, the various guides, the charming accommodations, and hosts were helpful, attentive, and warm, making our trip even more magical.

  Stay in Chile, from south to north and on Easter Island

After southern Argentina two years ago, this is the second trip we have taken with Boris. Once again, he lived up to our expectations.

The selected regions gave us a glimpse of the country’s very different aspects, the activities were varied, and the balance between sightseeing and exploring nature was perfect.

The organization was flawless, the guides were interesting, very helpful, and adaptable to our last-minute requests, the accommodations were always well chosen, comfortable, and well located, and the excursions were varied and well balanced, allowing us to fully explore the different regions.

Everything came together to make this trip an unforgettable experience. Special mention goes to Mariana, who accompanied us throughout the trip with thoughtful little messages, always ready to answer our questions or resolve any minor unforeseen issues.

We returned home with lots of beautiful images in our minds and only one desire: to go back.

An ideal trip for observing nature in its raw state, miles and miles of land, between forest and steppe, wild animals, memories of this immensity will remain etched in our minds forever. Boris was able to offer us an itinerary tailored to our desires and wishes, even adapting it at the last minute.

A trip filled with diversity: nature, city life, tango show, horseback riding, lakeside stroll, French-speaking guided tour, boat tour and cruise, hiking.

We were blown away by this trip, which was intended to provide a break from our very busy daily lives. It was more than successful!

At times, we felt like we had traveled back to France 30 or 40 years ago: vintage cars, friendly locals, traditional architecture, and we were lucky enough to experience unforgettable moments such as the rodeo show in El Calafate!

During our 15-day trip, Boris made sure we got the most out of our journey by optimizing our discoveries to enjoy it to the fullest.

Ten years after discovering Argentina with Boris, it was obvious that I would go back with him to Chile.

And once again, we were right.

  Trip to Patagonia

A first trip to Patagonia with BorisPatagonia!

A magnificent tour that took us from Buenos Aires to Peninsula Valdes, then to Bariloche, El Calafate, and finally to El Chaltén. An experience tailor-made for a family with two children aged 13 and 11.

We were able to count on Boris and Mariana’s support throughout our stay – Mariana even managed to track down a particularly stubborn piece of luggage! The accommodations were perfectly chosen, and each stop offered us unique experiences, always in the company of genuine people. We especially remember our day horseback riding with Marissa and her family, an unforgettable memory.

We also had the chance to meet Boris in Bariloche: first while kayaking, then over an excellent lunch with a breathtaking view.

We already know that we’ll return to South America, with Chile and Easter Island in our sights.

  Travel to Patagonia and cruise to Cape Horn

  Travel to Patagonia

Our first trip to South America was a shock: the beauty of the landscapes, grandiose and wild – immense lakes, snow-capped mountains, turquoise blue glaciers, the steppe and these forests of araucaria, lenga, and Arrayán. Everything was breathtaking.

Boris’s organization was extremely well thought out: everything flowed naturally, thanks also to Mariana’s messages every evening about the next day’s schedule. Everything seemed easy, yet it was so busy. On our own, we wouldn’t have seen half of our trip!

The biggest plus was the guides who spoke French! They showed us their region, the fauna, flora, and trees, as well as life in Argentina and Chile. Thank you, Gilda, Maximo, Juliette, and Pedro.

A special mention goes to the visit to Maria’s hacienda in Torres del Paine, the asado she prepared for us and the visit to her wool carding and spinning workshop.

Finally, the hotels were well chosen. Comfortable, sometimes in extraordinary locations like Torres del Paine Park, with a special mention for the one in Buenos Aires (which I loved), a beautiful old bourgeois house transformed and which reveals a little of the country’s past.

This trip to Patagonia was a dream of wide open spaces and immensity.

I didn’t know exactly what to find there, but the desire to discover was stronger, and Team Govetto gathered around me, Michèle, Huguette and Gilbert.

Thank you, Boris, for brilliantly organizing this idyllic four-week trip. Every day was a surprise, revealing a new face of Argentine and Chilean Patagonia.

We were amazed, our hearts were filled, and our souls were exalted; from Buenos Aires and its Tango evening, to horseback riding in the estancias, to hiking in the mountains, to sailing on the lakes among the icebergs, to discovering the glaciers, without forgetting Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel and our encounter with the Puma in Torres del Paine… and so many other beautiful encounters!!!

No shadow on this stay and we pay tribute to the whole team for this faultless performance.

It’s going to take us some time to come back down to earth…
