For fans of this sport, Argentina and Chile offer magnificent landscapes for playing on the different golf courses, mainly located in the lake region, in the north of Patagonia.
Why not include a relaxing day in your schedule? Here are some examples of golf courses that I suggest, knowing that many others are possible and in other regions than those presented below.
Golf Course in Buenos Aires

The 18 holes of the Buenos Aires aristocracy
The Jockey Club is one of the most prestigious 18-hole golf courses in South America. It’s located 20 minutes from downtown Buenos Aires, in San Isidro. The main building, inaugurated in 1945, was built to provide maximum comfort.
The famous “Cancha Colorada” was the course of the World Cups of 1962 and 1970, and of the Argentine Championship on several occasions; of the Paco Rabanne Cup in which the best Europeans and Americans played, as well as other international championships. The course has a design of apparent ease, but as it progresses it becomes extraordinary because the first shots of each hole are of great importance.
It’s very well wooded, with trees of several species, especially pines. Despite this, the layout is often open and it’s possible to play the hole by the fairway continuously. In general, it’s difficult to read the surface of the green for putting and short shots. It’s a course whose secrets you have to know before you can play it well…
Buenos Aires Club House

Pilar Golf Club is located 50 km from the center of Buenos Aires. The property covers 200 hectares, surrounded by rivers, lakes and groves. The Club House is a place of relaxation and cultural activities. It has a swimming pool built on 3 levels with waterfalls.
In its 4,500 m² of covered area, you’ll also find rest rooms, snack bar, library, restaurants, an English Pub, games room, changing rooms with sauna, Proshop, as well as a spectacular terrace with views of the golf course.
The course has 27 holes, forming one of the most important golf courses in the country, with international recognition. It also has a driving range, putter green, greens and practice bunkers. Borispatagonia can organize stays dedicated to this discipline.

Golf & Resort in Patagonia Argentina

18-hole golf course in San Martín de los Andes
Chapelco Golf & Resort is the latest golf course in Patagonia, built under the design of Jack Nicklaus in 2004. The golf course adapts perfectly to the diversity of the terrain while preserving the magnificent natural landscapes of the San Martín de Los Andes region, with several varieties of conifers surrounding the fairway, bordered by the Lanin National Park.
This results in a golf course that seems to have been there forever. Some streams and two ponds also contribute to making this landscape unique.
