San Carlos de Bariloche is a must-see destination, very popular for Argentines and all travelers who discover it! But above all it is my biggest “favorite”. I love this region of Argentina so much and I am keen to introduce people to it.

San Carlos de Bariloche Lake

It’s this wonderful place that I chose for settle down, to live a new life. Every time I return from a trip, I continue to marvel at the variety and beauty of its landscapes.

San Carlos de Bariloche and its lakes

San Carlos de Bariloche is the capital of the Lakes Zone from North of Argentinian Patagonia. Here, as everywhere in Patagonia, nature reigns supreme, a true paradise for practicing all kinds of activities: hiking, fishing, estancia stays, condor watching, kayaking, glacier walking, relaxation, and of course winter sports. The geographical location is absolutely beautiful and the landscapes very varied: snow-capped mountains, lakes with turquoise waters, arid steppes, forests of thousand-year-old trees, rivers of unequaled clarity…

In the Bariloche region, there are many lakes, all very wild, where there are many opportunities to pitch your tent and recharge your batteries. A paradise for nature lovers, in the heart of one of the most beautiful fishing regions, to name but a few, San Carlos de Bariloche also has hiking trails and very well equipped shelters.

The variation of colors, ranging from the yellowish desert plains of the steppe, to the majestic white and snow-capped peaks of the Andes, creates one of the most beautiful landscapes in Argentina. In winter, the Cerro Catedral ski center offers truly breathtaking views of the region’s lakes.

It’s hard not to want to stay there longer. Don’t pay too much attention to tourist guides who compare these landscapes to those of the Swiss Alps. The Swiss clients I receive here always tell me the opposite!
