  Trip to Argentina

We were looking for a trip full of contrasts, one that would let us discover landscapes and people different from what we’re used to in Spain. This was our first trip to Latin America. And we’re certain we’ll be back. Boris had divided the trip into two parts: the north, with Salta, and the south, with El Calafate and Ushuaia. It was a great choice.

In the north, we enjoyed the arid, thistle-covered landscapes, the wines, the folklore, and the culture of the local people. The Salta region is a tapestry of a thousand colors, with a unique light and sound. Thank you, Boris, for inviting us to discover this part of Argentina.

The South, wild and untamed, just like the hotel where we stayed in El Calafate, which really surprised us. Glacier National Park is a true gem – a place everyone should visit. Perito Moreno, with its cracking sounds and fantastic ice front, was one of our most eagerly anticipated destinations. We were not disappointed. Its sheer grandeur is overwhelming. The grueling hike to the base of Fitz Roy from El Chaltén got us in great shape! and provided us with the most beautiful photos of our trip.

Ushuaia: Argentina transformed into a Nordic country. You can really feel the adventurous, fishing-village atmosphere. It had snowed, and we saw penguins and sea lions.

We can’t end this post without thanking Boris for his organization and attention to detail throughout the trip. All of his contacts and accommodations were fantastic and unique. We were able to enjoy every single one of them. Knowing that at every stop, one of his friends was waiting for us to help us experience Argentina was a real pleasure. We’ll be back!
