- Brazil -

It would be logical to extend your trip a bit to the south of Brazil if your trip around Argentina ends in Cataratas del Iguazu in the region of Misiones. It is possible to imagine a trip leaving from Buenos Aires and coming back from Rio de Janeiro. Actually, the south of Brazil will offer something that Argentina cannot: white sandy beaches, palm trees, warm water. However, the South of Brazil has some other marvelous characteristics which I am going to describe now and which I particularly liked. God is the artist and Rio, its masterpiece, Brazilians usually say.
The first brushstroke was blue: the sea. Green ink fell over the cloth to take me to the forest. Afterwards, it was the mountains and waters turn, water flowing below them.

Rio de Janeiro is called the beautiful city due to its incredible splendour this reputation is completely real.
Surrounding the majestic bay of Guanabara, place that Portuguese explorers mistook with the mouth of a river and consequently named the city after that, the city developed everywhere it was possible in that piece of land. It is amazing how near it is from nature, it is omnipresent.

Between Rio de Janeiro and San Pablo, there is a green coast that seems to have been blessed by God.
You can see plenty of splendid and charming places, scattered in the heart of a land rich in history and traditions. The green coast is a treasure of nature.

In this treasure of nature the jewel is called Paraty one of the best preserved colonial towns in the country.
Paraty has managed to achieve the preservation of a beautiful historic centre, where cars are not allowed to enter, where streets are paved and where residences and churches date back to XVII and XVIII centuries. Some kilometers from there, hidden among nature and with their feet in the water, you can find a little fishing village possible to get on foot or by boat, which will please the travelers looking for authenticity.

I consider that Pantanal is the biggest national park in South America and also the best place to watch a great variety of fauna - I dare say this national park is even better than the Amazonas. There are capybaras, alligators, piranhas besides about 300 bird species like eagles, falcons, kingfishers, cormorants, kites, the magnificent macaws big blue, red and yellow parrots and thousands of tattlers gathered and spread for many km2. This little world has evolved in a background of red and ocre lands with abundant, deep and lively green vegetation.
The best time to visit Pantanal a vast alluvial plain that often seems to be a swamp goes from April/May to September/October, which is the driest season.

Patagonia in all seasons menu. For example, according to the climate, from Bariloche, in Patagonia Argentina, it is possible to go to Puerto Montt, in Chile, crossing successively three lakes by boat, as did the Jesuits and the first German settlers. I offer a tour that leads to the Pacific Ocean. It is quite long, but the beauty of the sites - forests, volcanoes and crystalline lakes - is such that it is worth to be carried. The Argentine side, cross the west arm of Nahuel Huapi and Lake Puerto Alegre and, the chilen side, Lake Todos los Santos. Moving from one lake to another by bus. This tour is feasible in all seasons, but in winter, it takes two days to reach Puerto Montt, stopping for one night at Peulla. We returned to Bariloche by air or by the same way, after a night in Puerto Montt. Borispatagonia is also responsible for visas to go to Chile and to book hotels. In Patagonia, winter and summer are tourist seasons. In summer, besides explore the surrounding, many activities are available: climbing, torrent fishing, sailing, horseback riding, hiking, rides, visits to Aciendas... In winter, the main activity is, of course, skiing, especially in July and August on the side of the Andes, but not only: snowshoe hikes, thematic tours, many walks to admire the beauty of Patagonia Argentina and Chile in this season, due a unique light, the warmth of the people of Patagonia... Just to talk about, I get goose bumps!
